Week 5: Anna D's week

So last week I started my internship at the contemporary art institute and I LOVE it! I love working again - getting up in the morning and actually getting things done (instead of sitting, staring at my computer trying to come up with intelligent stuff for my thesis). The work is great because I get to organize an entire exhibition from start to finish and the people are SO nice and relaxed! Everyone seems to wear black all day, though (I guess to not distract from the art works), so I have incorporated a little more black in my outfits so as to not stand out too much (because in general I wear very bright colors). But then again, what's wrong with blue...or yellow...or red...or pink?


Other than that, I was actually kind of ill all week. I had a big headache, but it didn't matter too much since I stayed at my boyfriend's house all week and he took good care of me! 

Oh and... it's finally warm and sunny here! HOORAY!

Week 4: Anna D's week

This week went by pretty fast for me too!


I wrote four papers in two days (mon/tue) and had a good chat with another professor about my thesis. Things went well, but I've been SO stressed out about school that I decided to take a couple days 'off'. So I did some art, helped my brother organize his birthday party on friday which was a lot of fun. I cooked dinner for 12 people and then we went bowling with a big group and... I actually DIDN'T suck at it, haha. Then on saturday my mom took me shopping and I got two wonderful dresses and then we ate dinner and saw the movie 'The other Boleyn girl' - which was beautiful. Other than that, I am a little stressed out because my internship is starting on monday!!! SO EXITING!

This week run really fast, so fast that I even not remember what happened there!
I missed almost all my studies because I am lazy!
But I finally started work on my degree project , thats is much harder then I was thinking before, actually maybe I think that I not really want to do it (my degree project) I just want to see it already done! :)  All I want to do is just free art, just to draw draw draw without any concept or commitment............
other impotent thing that happened this week is that I get a new XXXXXXXLARGE  table, I wanted it so long time and now I have it, now I really love and enjoy my work room (tiny studio) that I don't want to go out at all!!!!

Week 3: Etsy fever and scary thesis advisors

This week was a little slow due to Anna D's trip to Paris and Jenny M's amazing Etsy superstardom!

So...that's what the drawings were about as well: Jenny M making Etsy frontpage and selling heaps of stuff and Anna D hiding in Paris with the boyfriend from her evil thesis advisor!

Week 3: Jenny's week

This was really crazy week , I didn't stop drawing!!!  At the start of the week I was busy with my Academy projects......... and a little bit of etsy stuff .
in Wednesday  I cheeked my paypal account and I found that I already have almost the all money for buying a gocoo but I need to sell just 2-3 items in my etsy and then I will have all the money, so I was a little bit nervous that nobody isn't buying and I really want a gocco......... in the evening i sold one item!
But in weekend , in Thursday I come to my parents house for celebrate my brothers birthday  (he is 17 now), me and my mum made a nice dinner , and then I just come to the computer for a minute for check my etsy shop , and it was unbelievable , I have some sells and some conversations, and that because I was on the front page!!!!! Can you believe it?!  I was on the front page of etsy!!!!!  thats really crazy!  I had about 1000 views in 2 hours and I sold about 10-12 items, and people wrote to me and I found a lot of new etsy friends!!!!! Me and my mom were really shocked!!! so I was 2 hours on a front page of etsy in Tuesday. My brothers birthday celebration was really fun because I was really happy of my etsy so I made a lot of jokes there!

The next day I arrived home,  and you know what?!!!   This tome it's really unbelievable! I was on a front page again!!!! waaaaaa!!!!!!!   I still can't believe it!!! so I had more 1000 views and new etsy friends  and more sells, and even custom requests!   So all the weekend I spend for etsy buyers, and for making them envelops etc!!!! My hands are tired! But I can buy a gooco now :) !

Week 3: Anna's week

So, I'm BACK from PARIS! Aaaaah beautiful, beautiful Paris! But before I get into my wonderful weekend - I will tell something about last week.


Last week I kind of had a sucky week. I had exams and papers due and then also another talk with my thesis-advisor about my new subject. She hated the last subject I brought forth, so I was kind of nervous. And...she also hated this topic. I want to graduate this summer, so I was pretty upset and actually cried a little. All in all - not very pretty.

BUT 

I decided to NOT think of it anymore and just go off to Paris and deal with it on monday (today). Oh and I bought a very cute red striped jacket - which I was totally not allowed to do, but I did it anyways, muahaha! And yes, it did make me feel better. What that says about me, I don't know, but I don't care :-) It is a very happy jacket.

Thursday-evening my boyfriend and I went to a hotel near the airport since our flight would leave very early on Friday-morning. We like hotels, so we had a good time - drinking a few beers and making plans for the weekend. 
The next morning we got up at 5am and went over to the airport where we caught our flight to Parissss, where the weather was just wonderful! The sky was blue, it was sunny, like 20 degrees celcius - our hotel was lovely, everything was perfect. We pretty much walked around all day. Lied on the grass in the sun, reading, sleeping. Walked along the Seine by night time, had some Japanese food and saw the Eiffel tower. We also visited my brother's girlfriend whose dad owns a place in Paris.
On Saturday we actually did some more walking. We went to Place de Vosges, the prettiest square in Europe supposedly (it really is very pretty) and walked to Montmartre where all the artists used to live. We ate crêpes (thin pancakes) and ice cream and I did some drawing. In the evening we went to a restaurant we heard was good, but it was completely booked so we walked around for another hour finding a place we liked and yes, the food was great.
On Sunday we went to the Science Museum, which also has an Imax theatre. We saw lots of cool stuff and the Imax movie was fantastic! It was a movie called 'Deep Sea' and we saw such great creatures - like ancient sea turtles that get their shell cleaned by little yellow fish. Very cute. We had so much fun. After having lunch at another wonderful park (Jardins de Luxembourg) we took the plane home.

All in all a purrrfect weekend to forget all about a crappy week. :-)

Week 2: Jenny's Week


Hi! Ok some English writing, hmmm...
In the weekend I was at my parent's home with my boyfriend, and we have a nice party of our friend , that was nice, in the end of the party we sow very old russian animation movies, (all of the people was Russian accept one boy that was very bored at that time and didn't understand why we was so happy of this cartoons!) that was very nice nostalgia!!!

when I arrived home I made a lot of envelops for my Etsy buyers, that was funn but really exhausting! Actually all this week I tried to sell a lot on my Etsy, but this is not so simple....... ufff.....

In one of the days when I was alone at home, while I was working on my computer, suddenly electricity is stopped, and everything is shut down , I tried to make the electricity make work but the problem was with our new kettle , I think that me and my boyfrien have something magic with the kettles , because in the last year we brook about 3 kettles already! this time it was new and very expensive kettle, so I really don't understand why kettles don't love me, why are they always brook in my home????! ................... anyway yesterday my boyfriend fix this crazy kettle!!!



oh, I forgot to work on my degree project!!!! I will start it now!!!

Week 2: Anna D's Week

This week was a weird week for me. It being Easter-weekend, my boyfriend and I were invited to come along to my mom's house in the north of France. She bought it little over a year ago and she and her now-husband are fixing it up by themselves. I've been there on multiple occasions to help fix it up, but this time we were just there to chill. We had a wonderful time, however, whether we got the peace and quiet we were hoping for remains to be seen...


...First of all, I forgot my allergy-medicine. I have a bad case of hay-fever, which was just perfect, since the bedroom my boyfriend and I were staying in is on... the old hay attic (where the old farmer used to put the hay up to dry). So after two days I pretty much suffocated in my own snot. We then drove to the nearest city to get me some medicine...

...which turned out to be a little stronger than my regular medicine. Which resulted in me falling asleep nearly every place I sat down and me being very mellow and quiet (while usually I am very talkative). It was pretty funny and also very handy, because I had time to sleep when...

...our car broke down on our way back from town during a snow-storm (!). It got towed and we took a cab home. The next day we had to get home so we took another cab to the train station 1,5 hours away, then take a train to Paris (two hours away) and then get to the other side of Paris to pick up our rental car and drive another 5 hours home. We had first class tickets for the train, but the train turned out to be overbooked, so we sat on the floor in the hallway all the way.

Fortunately, I was still drugged and feeling very peaceful, hehe.

So, that was the most exiting part of my week. The rest of the week I studied, went to classes, cleaned my house, went to a conference on the art collection in The Netherlands, had dinner with my boyfriend, drinks with friends and slept a lot. The weather was pretty shitty all week.
